Abdominal obesity, insulin resistance, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia, all being non-communicable diseases (NCD) are the major health issues of modern world. Present day has led to these pathological conditions known as metabolic syndrome. The prevalence syndrome(MeS) greatly increases in urban population. syndrome includes cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, thyroid abnormalities. A cross-sectional survey was conducted for among 438 participants Indore, Madhya Pradesh India. pre-designed questionnaire used collect data, including demographic information; anthropometric biochemical parameters from their medical reports. Using criteria International Diabetes Federation (IDF), MetS seen 43.3% subjects with a mean age 50.53 yr consisting 55% males 45% females. age-specific observed more older group.Physical inactivity found be causative factor this MetS. It can improved by encouraging patients adopt healthy lifestyle emphasis on regular physical activity modifications food habits.
